Referrals and discount codes

Growther.ai has two referral programmes. Both live on your account at license.growther.ai, not inside C5, and both are described in full in the Terms of Service under Referrals.

Free-days referral #

1. Open your Account page and click Create referral code under Refer a friend. You get a code, a link and a QR code.
2. A friend opens the link, signs in and redeems the code. Nothing is granted yet.
3. When they make their first paid purchase, both of you receive the free days. They are added to your day balance and appear in Transactions.

One code per account can be redeemed, you cannot redeem your own, and the days have no cash value. If a promotion set the number of days when the code was redeemed, the purchase has to happen before that promotion ends.

Using a special referral link #

Someone you know may send you a link of the form growther.ai/<name>. Opening it takes you to the licence portal, where a banner shows who sent it and what it is worth, for example "jane sent you 20% off C5 licences and Mothership — on recurring plans for the first 6 months".

• Sign in to keep it. The offer is attached to your account as soon as you sign in, and the cart on the Plans page shows exactly what comes off, line by line. Stripe's checkout page shows the same figure.
• Have a code but no link? On the Plans page, open Have a referral code? in the cart summary and enter it.
• Already a subscriber? If your subscription is one the offer covers, your Account page shows Apply to my subscription. The discount starts with your next invoice; nothing already paid changes.
• Time limit. Use the offer within 30 days of opening the link. If you start a free trial in that time, the window extends to 30 days after the trial ends.
• One at a time. An account holds one special offer at a time and it applies once, to your first qualifying purchase. It never combines with another special offer, but it does combine with the free-days referral above.
• If it is no longer available — the link was paused, filled up or expired — the cart says so and checkout runs at the regular price.
• Left the checkout page? If you started paying and closed Stripe's page, the cart offers Release and use it here so the discount is back on your next attempt.

The link sets one strictly necessary cookie (gw_ref, 30 days) on license.growther.ai that carries only the code. The person who sent the link never learns who you are; they see only how many people opened it and bought.

Becoming a referrer #

If you would like a personal link that pays you a share of what your buyers spend:

1. Open your Account page → Referral Program → Apply to the Referral Program.
2. Give your name (kept private), a public handle (what buyers see), the email we should use, your country, and the link you would like — growther.ai/your-name — or let us generate one. The form checks live whether a name is free.
3. We review every application and email you the current rates. Once terms are agreed we validate it, and your Account page shows the link, a QR code and your counts: link opens, offers waiting, first purchases, paid cycles.

How you are paid. Payouts are made only through Stripe, in one of two ways:

• By email (United States only). Tick I confirm I am in the United States on your application and we send a Stripe payout to your email address; Stripe asks for your bank details the first time.
• Your own Stripe account (anywhere Stripe supports). Click Set up payouts with Stripe on your Account page — it takes a few minutes — and your share is transferred automatically. Outside the United States this is required before a paying link can go live.

Your share of each qualifying payment becomes payable thirty days after the payment clears, and is reversed if that payment is refunded or disputed in that time. Rates are set when your application is validated and may change if you re-apply. You can edit your details (this returns the application to review) or deactivate at any time.

Questions #

I opened a link but see no banner. Sign in first — the offer attaches to your account when you do. If you opened the link on another device, enter the code under Have a referral code? in the cart instead.

The banner says the offer could not be attached. Your account already holds a special offer, or the link is your own. One special offer per account.

My discount is missing from Stripe's checkout page. Go back to the Plans page: if the cart shows the offer as no longer available, it was paused, filled up or expired after you attached it, and checkout runs at the regular price.

As a referrer, where do I see money? In Stripe. The Account page shows counts only; the payout itself arrives from Stripe, by email or into the Stripe account you set up.
